【Voices from participants】

-Thanks for all the professors and students!! That’ s a wonderful experience!

-The activity to visit the momji workshop is really impressive and interesting, which let me think further in how to face work, the value of life and how to include the marginalized group into our society.

-I think the two lectures which are about rehabilitation are very interesting. I like them so much.

-I think the visits to Peace Memorial Park and Peace Memorial Museum are so meaningful and important.

-The lectures covered a wide range of fascinating topics, from cutting-edge research in materials science to innovative approaches in sustainability, making every session unique and engaging.

– the hands-on workshops provided valuable opportunities to apply what we learned in real-time.

-It was better than I ‘d expected, specially staffs from the Hiroshima university were so kind and helped me a lot, and when I ask something about Japanese, they euthysiastically helped me for my studying.

-This program was very well organized. The lectures and activities were also very impressive.

-This program was very inspiring and I really found it interesting and this summer school became my precious memories. Thank you so much.

– I was lifted up my mind by them not to give up studying English.

-When I went to the peace memorial museum, I realized how important the inclusive society is.

-It was really good practice to improve communication skill.

-All the program and English conversations with other students were inspired me. I become more interested in forign languages and culture.

-It promoted student’s awareness in disability science and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) regardless of expertise.

-This is the first time I had a role as a translator. I tried my best, but I didn’t have enough ability to translate Japanese into English. But some other students helped me and tried to understand my English. So, it was challenging for me, but it was a great opportunity to improve my English.

– I wish the program can be held in every year, and continue to the next generation for a long.

-A good opportunity for me to study inclusion, diversity, and peaceful mindset from real place such as from Momiji factory, Hiroshima memorial park, and from our lecturer in our activity that this program provided in which I am interested.

-I have a chance to exchange cultures with friends from many countries, and practicing my English and also experiencing cultural exchange made me happy and helped me learn many things

-I really appreciate the HU coordinators and the student staff who had been very helpful throughout the program. They made every single moment feels fun and enjoyable. I am really intrigued by the japanese culture.

-I really enjoy this program until I feel this program is too short for us, I wish I can spend more time with those amazing people that I meet.
